The Salvation Army College For Officer Training At Crestmont
CFOT - Accreditation

Accreditation

CFOT is a private two-year college and is accredited by the Accrediting Commission for Community and Junior Colleges of the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (10 Commercial Blvd., Suite 204, Novato, CA 94949, (415) 506-0234), an institutional accrediting body recognized by the Commission on Recognition of Postsecondary Accreditation and the U.S. Department of Education.

Accreditation Status as of February 2016

The Accrediting Commission for Community and Junior Colleges (ACCJC) of the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) announced in February that, at its meeting on January 6-8, 2016, The Salvation Army's College for Officer Training was cleared from all sanctions and removed from "Warning" status. The Commission found that the College successfully addressed the four recommendations remaining from the 2103 comprehensive evaluations as well the three recommendations from the 2007 review. CFOT is once again on full accreditation status.

Accreditation is an achievement worth striving for; a worthy endeavor that makes us better for it. Our pledge now is to continue to embed the protocols and practices into everyday operation, ensuring that the standards are simply normal operating procedures.
