The College for Officer Training at Crestmont is
part of a worldwide organization dedicated to proclaiming the
good news of Jesus Christ and serving the basic needs of humanity.
The college's mission is to develop men and women in knowledge,
skills, spirit and character to be able to sustain and advance the
mission of The Salvation Army as officers in the Western Territory.
The 44 acre college campus resides on the cliffs
of Rancho Palos Verdes, California overlooking the sparkling blue
waters of the Pacific Ocean and Catalina Island.
The Salvation Army College for Officer Training
at Crestmont is the ideal setting for learning and reflection.. a
real "place apart".
Upon completion of the prescribed training, the
Cadet is commissioned as a Salvation Army Officer, with an Associate
of Arts in Ministry, ordained as a minister of the gospel, and given
an appointment within the 13 Western United States.
Officer training curriculum includes, but not limited
to, studies in Theology, Bible, Biblical Exegesis, Business Management,
Music, Homiletics and Public Ministry.
Admission to the college requires membership in
a local Salvation Army Corps Community Center and the recommendation
of the Corps Officer. For more information on admission to
